We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inspector Grader to assess and evaluate materials, products, or services to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations. This position plays a critical role in quality control by identifying defects, grading products according to set criteria, and providing accurate documentation and reporting. Must work safely and follow all plant safety rules and attend the required safety training.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain your personal safety at all times, look out for others working in your area; Attend required safety meetings and follow all safety rules for this location.
  • Thread frames (grading) with cloth.
  • Inspect cloth on greige frame, finish frame and/or finishing unit.
  • Interpret Q.C. specifications.  Record defect appropriately for BARCO computer.
  • Burl, mend, pick and clean cloth as necessary.
  • Classify into grades according to style quality specifications.
  • Record yardage check pick count and measure width.
  • Cut swatches as required.
  • Prepare cut for doffing by wrapping as specified.
  • Clean around immediate areas.
  • Miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience                                               

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
