Position Overview

The Maintenance Reliability & Inspection Lead is responsible for improving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance (PM) effectiveness, and asset sustainability across the plant. The role focuses on inspections, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.

The Maintenance Reliability & Inspection Lead Technician reports to the Prep/Dye/FR Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine equipment walkdowns and identify emerging mechanical issues.

- Support PM effectiveness and improve inspection standards.

- Develop visual documentation for PMs and rebuild standards.

- Verify critical spare parts inventory and labeling.

- Coordinate with Engineering managers, production, and quality teams.

Required Qualifications

- Senior-level mechanical maintenance experience – current top rate Engineering technician or equivalent position with embedded contractor.

- Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, bearings, rollers, tenter chains, and wash boxes.

- Ability to detect early indicators of mechanical failure.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in preventive/predictive maintenance.

- Experience training or mentoring technicians.

- Familiarity with reliability concepts.
