Job Title: Predictive Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: This position is located at the Milliken – Magnolia Plant located in Blacksburg, SC and reports to the Engineering Services Leader. The position is responsible for facilitating workflow processes for assigned areas of responsibility, leading outage planning within area of responsibility, and maintaining accurate data within plant Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS/AMMS Systems). In addition, this position will facilitate and oversea planned maintenance activities and track failures to reduce downtimes from breakdowns within Magnolia. Typical hours are Monday—Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. However, due to continuous operations of the plant, the work schedule may require arriving before 8:00 am, staying beyond 5:00 pm, and participation in weekend projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the conditions that impact the processes and products
- Analyze problems and implement solutions using critical thinking skills
- Incorporate creative thinking to problem solving to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficient
- Prepare diagrams, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendations
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of associates
- Work effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goals
- Participate fully in the Safety Process
Qualifications Required:
- Knowledgeable of General Maintenance Processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as AMMS/CMMS
Qualifications Preferred:
- Previous manufacturing experience (intern, co-op, or fulltime)
The successful candidate will demonstrate strengths in the following:
- Communication skills – verbal, written, and group presentations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
