RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1.   Daily oiling (picking box, receiving box, filling tension, cam box and tucking unit).  (WIMT02.01)

 

2.   Fill oil bottles (three times per week). (WIMT02.02)

 

3.   Oil lower picking housing (twice per week).  (WIMT02.03)

 

4.   Oil Mylube (WIMT02.04)

 

5.   Oil Sley drive.  (WIMT02.05)

 

6.   Grease driveshaft, sanddrum, selector, pick gears, let-off, beam stands (every two weeks).   (WIMT02.06)

 

 

WIMT02.01 DAILY OILING (PICKING BOX, RECEIVING BOX, FILLING TENSION, CAM BOX AND TUCKING UNIT)

 

PURPOSE:  To help reduce wear on machine parts.

 

      1.  Go to oil storage area and get materials needed for daily oiling and place on handcart (220 oil, oil cup, oil can).

 

      2.  Go to assigned area.

 

      3.  Stop machine with stop button.

 

      4.  Put up orange flag.

 

      5.  Remove cover on picking side box.

 

      6.  Oil parts with 220 oil marked with red dots using oil cup

 

      7.  Replace cover.

 

      8.  Remove cover on filling tension.

 

      9.  Repeat work instructions WI2001.6 - WI2001.7.

 

     10. Move to center tucking unit and remove cover.

 

     11.  Repeat steps WI2001.6 - WI2001.7.

 

     12.  Go to receiving side box.

 

     13.  Repeat steps WI2001.6 - WI2001.7.

 

     14.  Remove cover on cam box.

 

  1. Using oil can with 220 oil, oil cams and replace cover.

 

  1. Move to next machine, until assigned area is finished.

 

  1. Waste oil:  unlock waste oil drum and empty waste oil into drum.  Dump any waste oil brought by technicians into drum also.  Lock drum when done.

 

WIMT02.03 OIL LOWER PICKING HOUSING (2 TIMES PER WEEK)

 

PURPOSE:  To maintain level of oil in housing to reduce wear of parts.

 

      1.  Walk assigned area and using flashlight check oil level in sight glass.

 

      2.  Record all machines needing oil.

 

      3.  Go to storage area and obtain materials needed.

 

      4.  Go to machine.

 

      5.  Stop machine and place orange flag on machine.

 

      6.  Remove oil plug.

 

      7.  Use funnel to add oil to housing (220 oil).

 

      8.  Using measuring device, check oil level.

 

      9.  Replace oil plug.

 

  1. Re-start machine and remove flag.

 

  1. Move to next machine, until assigned area is finished.

 

  1. Waste oil:  unlock waste oil drum and empty waste oil into drum.  Dump any waste oil brought by technicians into drum also.  Lock drum when done

 

WIMT02.04 OILING MYLUBE (WEEKLY)

 

PURPOSE:  To ensure constant oil flow to parts at Picking side of machine, in order to prevent wear.

 

      1.  Walk floor of assigned area and record mylubes needing oil.

 

      2.  Obtain materials needed from oil storage area.

 

      3.  Go to assigned area.

 

      4.  Stop machine with stop button.

 

      5.  Place orange flag on machine.

 

      6.  Remove oil cap on mylube.

 

      7.  Using oil can with pour spout, fill with 115 oil.

 

      8.  Replace cap, tighten with pliers.

 

      9.  Re-start machine and remove orange flag.

 

  1. Go to next machine until assigned area is finished.

 

  1. Waste oil:  unlock waste oil drum and empty waste oil into drum.  Dump any waste oil brought by technicians into drum also.  Lock drum when done.

 

WIMT02.05 OIL SLEY DRIVE (WEEKLY)

 

PURPOSE:  To maintain oil level to reduce wear on parts.

 

      1.  Walk assigned area, checking each machine.

 

      2.  Go to receiving side of machine.

 

      3.  Stop machine with stop button.

 

      4.  Observe sight glass, if less than 3/4 full - record machine number.

 

      5.  Re-start machine.

 

      6.  Obtain materials from storage area, return to assigned area.

 

      7.  Go to receiving side of machine.

 

      8.  Stop machine with stop button.

 

      9.  Remove oil cap.

 

     10.  Fill with 220 oil - until 3/4 full in sight glass.

 

     11.  Replace cap.

 

     12.  Re-start machine.

 

  1. Go to next machine until assigned area is finished.

 

  1. Waste oil:  unlock waste oil drum and empty waste oil into drum.  Dump any waste oil brought by technicians into drum also.  Lock drum when done.

 

WIMT02.06 GREASING (EVERY TWO WEEKS) (DRIVE SHAFT, SANDDRUM SELECTOR, PICK GEARS, LET-OFF, BEAM COLLARS, BEAM STANDS)

 

PURPOSE:  To ensure optimum working order, reduce wear, and down time.

 

      1.  Obtain grease gun from storage area.

 

      2.  Go to assigned area.

 

      3.  Stop machine, put up orange flag.

 

      4.  Attach nozzle of grease gun to alimite on parts to be greased.

 

      5.  Pump grease until small amount is visible on or around part.

 

      6.  Remove nozzle.

 

      7.  Re-start machine and remove flag.

 

  1. Go to next machine until assigned area is finished.
