To provide the Associates and teams of Milliken Chemical Europe with a proactive and business focused HR service, we are looking for a dedicated HR MANAGER.

To join our international company with EMEA HQ in Ghent, we are looking for a dynamic and dedicated HR Manager who has responsibilities in various areas such as employment law and employee relations, resourcing and selection, training and development, employee communications systems, … these responsibilities are spread across the Ghent site and our other sites in Germany and France.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Your key responsibilities can be divided into 13 different groups where one will be more important on one time than another.
  • Present and important is the health and well being of our employees. You will take up an ambassador role and ensure that our health & wellbeing programs are implemented.
  • You are a key player when it comes to implementing change management and implementing effective reporting platforms. It’s a given to make sure everything is well communicated with your team and colleagues impacted by these changes.
  • Developing training plans, in line with the business, and looking into different types of funding will be one of many responsibilities within the ‘learning and development’ part of your job.
  • In cooperation with the Comp & Ben and payroll team, you look into changes in the benefits package to ensure competitiveness is maintained.
  • You will conduct pay benchmarking activities on a local, national and European level and work in close collaboration with our external partner.
  • You establish standards and methods of recruitment in cooperation with your Talent Acquisition Specialist. And you ensure that employee inductions are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • You work on different kinds of HR projects and delegate different tasks and responsibilities where necessary (wellbeing, introduction of a new HR data system, organizational health survey, welcome policy, audits, etc.).

who we are looking for

  • You have at least 10 years of professional experience in a similar role with experience in an international context/matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Success Factors or Syntegro is a plus.
  • You have excellent organizational skills, enjoy working in a changing environment and are proactive in driving and implementing improvements.
  • You are able to transfer (technical) knowledge to colleagues/customers and able to delegate tasks.
  • You are a real team player with an empathetic and enthusiastic personality
  • You are a multitasker and can manage your database/ diary in an optimal and structured way.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
