SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Process Facilitator, under the direction of the Plant Manager, exercises administrative, fiscal and operational control of the Aspen plant production inventory and logistics functions to include: inventory control procedures and records, storage, processing and shipment of finished chemicals. Is responsible for coordination of material movement with customer supply chain, training of associates, housekeeping, and quality improvement. The Warehouse Process Facilitator must be knowledgeable in all aspects of domestic and international shipping regulations and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse management, or supply chain is preferred.

DOT / IATA / IMDG Hazardous Shipping Certifications preferred

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

GENERAL

The Warehouse Process Facilitator is responsible for completing all tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.

 

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL

  1. Follow all plant procedures to ensure no negative impacts on the Environment, Health, Safety and Responsible Care processes of Milliken Chemical.
  2. Comply with safety regulations when handling hazardous material.
  3. Participate in the plant safety process including safety team meetings, audit completion, near missed (as needed), etc.
  4. Ensure that all trailers are inspected for unsafe conditions: Ensure that wheels for vehicles are chocked and lock-out/tag out device is in place.
  5. Train new hires on using a forklift as needed.
  6. Complete required annual safety training.
  7. Understand company policies and procedures and see that they are followed.
  8. Ensure procedures and practices are established to reduce any environmental impact from operations.
  9. Completes all required regulatory training.

 

 

BUDGET / COST CONTROL

  1. Monitor warehouse activity to ensure that production performance and dollar variances are acceptable.
  2. Order supplies for the warehouse, shipping and operations department within the scope of the budget.

 

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS

  • Direct interface with tolling customers
    • Report Production to tolling customers daily
    • Inbound reporting, including follow up on missing COAs or other gaps with customer owned materials
    • Outbound reporting – Finished goods shipment coordination with tolling customers supply chain representatives
    • Owner of monthly cycle counts and inventory, including reconciling with tolling customers inventory, waste, and all associated SAP transactions
    • Master Requisition Planning – Compare on hand inventory against delivery schedule of raws and ensure enough material will be on site.
  • Load trucks of finished goods for tolling customers
  • Develop SOPs and best practices for warehousing and shipping and receiving for the site
  • Complete FIFRA required labelling for all finished good totes
  • Back up for Aspen warehouse supporting Ironwood, including covering for vacations and supporting warehousing activities when multiple trucks are on site at once
  • Facilitate and execute pick ups for waste products (Empty drums, empty totes, waste water)
  • Complete SAP transactions for completed batches from production team
  • Work with lab on ensuring material is released for shipments out and raw materials coming in
  • Coordinate with Business Supply Chain Specialist to ensure customer POs have been converted to sales orders in the system for production and shipments out
  • Be a site resource for ordering supplies in Ariba

 

PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE

  1. Audit warehouse processes and facilities.  Ensure procedures are followed and that safety & housekeeping standards maintain excellence.
  2. Process and maintain records for the receipt, issue, transfer and shipment of raw material and finished chemicals.
  1. Ensure that all documents pertaining to the shipment of hazardous materials are in compliance with federal, state and international requirements.
  2. Participate in programs and activities to achieve Environmental Objectives and Targets.
  3.  Complete education requirements as established by the plant and company.
