Account Manager Specialty Colorants


Your product portfolio consists of different colorant technologies for water & solvent based applications (fertilizers, oils & lubricants, markers, etc.). The sales territory covers the EMEA region, reporting to our Sales Manager. After an intense training program, the overall responsibilities will include the following:

  • Accomplishment of sales objectives within your portfolio of customers.
  • Responsible for establishing & maintaining relationships & strategy with key accounts.
  • Drive, prioritize and manage joint projects within your customers from development to commercialization. Your industry and product line knowledge combined with your close interaction with our technical experts, allows you to qualify our customers’ needs and translate in offering solutions, supported by business cases when appropriate.
  • Coordinate all Milliken activities to provide customers with a consistent and coherent service.
  • Monitor competitive activity within accounts and disseminate information to relevant parties
  • Responsible for identification of potential new Key Accounts and formulation/implementation of account penetration plans.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and take actions if needed.
  • Actively engage with relevant trade associations to expand networking opportunities, stay in front of new regulations, and effectively advocate for the industries being served.


  • Preferably Master’s degree (chemistry, chemical engineering or commercial studies)
  • You have 3-5 years sales experience in B2B (chemicals) sales. Experience in the colorants industry is an asset.
  • Strong technical background, commercial and communication skills.
  • A born problem-solver, a team player and you have an analytical mindset.
  • You are self-motivated and you have entrepreneurial dynamism.
  • This position requires significant time travelling throughout Europe (min. 50%).
  • You speak fluently English. Other languages are a plus.
